Training
Volunteers meet twice monthly for hands on training and practice drills.
certifications
Our volunteers are all certified in CPR, some are already certified EMT's or Paramedics, and all become certified SFFMA certified firefighters.

Professionalism
Volunteer firefighters work side by side with the career firefighters of Bonham Fire Department.

Our volunteers assist in public education, community service, fire prevention through the LAFS program, and in time of disaster.

benefits
All costs associated with being a volunteer at BFD are paid for. All equipment and gear is provided and there is an allotment for fuel when responding to emergencies in your personal vehicle.
